Baswood Secures Funding for Growth Initiatives including Research & Development Facility

Allen, TX, October 31, 2018 – Baswood, Inc., a privately held company, leading sustainable wastewater treatment innovation, announced today it raised $9.2 million in a new funding round. When speaking to investors, CEO, Dan Simon stated, "This company (Baswood) will change the world by offering innovative and more sustainable wastewater solutions. It is time for the Baswood technology to become ubiquitous throughout the industry. The water and energy markets are evolving into distributed more sustainable systems, Baswood is a vital tool in this transition." Baswood intends to utilize the funds to complete its new Research & Development facility in Dallas commencing Q4’18, to expand market reach; and to grow its high-powered team of professionals. The funding represents another significant milestone for the company, in a year that has brought many positive outcomes for Baswood and their customers.

In March 2018, Baswood announced the appointment of Dan Simon as the new CEO and Member of the Board. Dan is an experienced entrepreneur and executive with an exceptional track record growing public and private water, energy, and life science companies. Dan led Baswood through this round of funding and is now driving the company through its next phase of growth. In June 2018, Baswood headquarters relocated from Santa Barbara, California to Allen, Texas – a location with strategic advantages for the company as it expands market share in the food and beverage, municipal, and petrochemical industries. Baswood also installed Chris Morrison, Chairman of Baswood. Chris has a 30+ year track record in the water and wastewater industries. Baswood will appoint a third board member in Q1’19.
